Beyond the limits

High magnification, high zoom ratio, large depth of field, ultra-high resolution. The ZEISS SteREO Discovery.V20 planar super-aberration-corrected microscope allows you to see every detail. With a stereoscopic field of view of up to 345 times magnification, an eZoom zoom ratio of 20:1, and an ultra-high resolution of 1000 LP/mm, it is capable of meeting the needs of all tricky tasks. From the wide field of view to the smallest details, you can see everything at a glance, and it can still maintain excellent depth of field and three-dimensional vision at extremely high magnifications. ZEISS takes you beyond the framework of traditional optical instruments and challenges the limits of stereomicroscopes.

The powerful advantage of high zoom ratio

Modern industry's insistence on details has led to an increasing demand for high-end stereo microscopes. On the one hand, a wide range of high-definition fields of view are required to quickly locate the sample position. After confirming the target, high magnification is required for observation. This requirement often requires two microscopes to meet this requirement. However, the 20:1 high zoom ratio of ZEISS SteREO Discovery.V20 provides an extremely wide magnification adjustment range. The picture below is a picture of a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) under a microscope, using the most basic 1X objective lens. The eZoom zoom on the microscope body can provide a maximum magnification of up to 150X and a focus range of 7.5X-150X.

eZoom twice as sharp

ZEISS SteREO Discovery.V20 introduces eZoom computerized focusing, which is driven by a stepper motor. The adjustment range is optimized by the computer. It can focus on the observation target in detail at high magnification, and is twice as sharp as manual operation. Note: The green line is the depth range of the microscope, the red line is the manual focus focus curve, and the blue line is the adjustment curve of computer-assisted focus.

Powerful and versatile dia-illumination

Supports three lighting modes: bright field, dark field and oblique bottom light. There are three sets of continuously adjustable slide bars on the side of the stage to control the angle of the lighting, allowing you to adjust it freely. With such a high degree of customization, no matter how low-contrast the structure is, it can be clearly displayed before your eyes.

eyepiece

ZEISS SteREO Discovery.V20 uses the same objective lens specifications as all ZEISS brand microscopes. All objectives are equipped with independently adjustable parallax correction rings. In addition to being able to match specifications with different magnifications and fields of view, it can also be equipped with graphical films to use suitable graphical graphics to assist you in your observation tasks.

Observation head - adaptable to all users

In order to enable practitioners to operate the equipment comfortably for a long time, excellent human factors design is a necessary condition for modern professional instruments. The observation head is a crucial part of the microscope design. ZEISS SteREO zoom stereo microscope can be equipped with an observation head that can adapt to different user body shapes and observation postures, allowing you to freely adjust the "height" and "angle". The root of the eyepiece tube provides an angle adjustment range of 5 degrees to 45 degrees. Make sure you use the most natural and comfortable posture to complete the task.

Objectives - everything you need

The ZEISS SteREO series of zoom stereo microscopes are available with two different step distances and a complete line of objective lenses with a variety of different magnifications to meet all possible needs.

Lighting systems - all available

After you have a powerful optical microscope, you need to have a suitable lighting source to observe clear and sharp sample images. In addition to the multi-functional transmitted lighting built into the stage, ZEISS SteREO Discovery.V20 can also be equipped with a variety of additional lighting components such as vertical downlight, ring light source, fiber optic LED, etc.

HIP human machine interface

The birth of ZEISS HIP (Human Interface Panel) human-machine interface replaced the traditional manual zoom system. Bringing more operational details, the computerized zoom and Z-axis lifting system can adjust the focusing speed, and the screen instantly displays information such as magnification, depth of field range, Z-axis coordinates, objective lens model, etc., allowing you to grasp observations at any time.

Image recording

ZEISS SteREO Discovery.V20 is equipped with a third-eye imaging interface, which can be used with a microscope camera for observation and recording. Choose the ZEISS AxioCam 208 color ZEISS color photomicrography system to take pictures with one click without connecting to a computer or mouse and keyboard. You only need to connect the screen to control the camera system independently.

Operation experience

The highly automated ZEISS SteREO Discovery.V20 simplifies many tedious and highly repetitive processes, allowing you to focus all your attention on operating and observing samples, while ZEISS controls the image quality for you.

Fluorescent expansion-optional expansion performance upgrade

By purchasing the PentaFluar S coaxial fluorescence module, you can upgrade your SteREO Discovery.V20 microscope to a high-performance fluorescence microscope. The phosphor module filter carousel accommodates up to five filter modules and offers a variety of lighting possibilities. In addition to the widely used HBO light source, we recommend the X-Cite 120 lighting system with liquid light guide.

Vertical Plane & Stereo Optical Path Switching System - Optional Expansion Performance Upgrade

Allows you to switch between stereo/vertical plane view with one click and change the plane view to "vertical plane view".

Observation sample sharing

Stained mouse embryos - use bright field 0.63X objective lens, total magnification 4.7X and 94X magnification viewing

Observation sample sharing

Diatoms - using darkfield 2.3X objective. Total magnification 345X for enlarged viewing
