Technical knowledge about C-Mount, the third eye of the microscope

• The C-Mount adapter (adapter lens) is an accessory used to connect the third eye of the microscope to the microscope camcorder. On the microscope camcorder side, it belongs to the universal international 1-inch screw thread specification, collectively referred to as C- Mount.
• There is no standard specification for the third eye end of a microscope, and the size will vary depending on the brand and model.
• The C-Mount adapter also divides the magnification according to the field of view requirements. The one without lens inside is generally called 1X-C-Mount. If the field of view can be doubled, it is 0.5XC-Mount. What is said here is that the field of view is increased by one. "X" actually means to reduce the magnification of what is seen under the same screen size conditions, so that the field of view that can be seen within the same screen range is larger.
• Each C-Mount has a strict standard length so that the image on the camcorder can be adjusted to be parfocal at each objective lens magnification.
